As name suggests Round Annapurna is trek around Mt. Annapurna range, the 10th highest mountain in the world is at the altitude of 8,091 m. Mt. Annapurna I is the main peak of this chain of mountains which includes four other peaks that shares its name: Annapurna II (7937 m), Annapurna III (7555 m), Annapurna IV (7525 m) and Annapurna South (7219 m) . Annapurna holds huge glaciers on its slopes. Annapurna is a Sanskrit name which means “full of grains” and normally translated as “Goddess of the Harvests” or more simply ‘The Provider’. In Hinduism, Annapurna is regarded as “the universal and timeless kitchen-goddess, the mother who feeds.

Starting from Besi Sahar( flat Market) this trip gradually move upwards Mighty Marsangdi river  crossing over different settlements, river valley, beautiful waterfall and terrain protected by Annapurna Conservation Area within the 7,629 km2, the first and largest conservation area in Nepal established on 1992 AD. The trek gradually moves upwards towards more high altitude landscape crossing over Pisang to Manang village with breathtaking view of Annapurna massif, farming village, gentle wind and smiling locals.

At Manang, a beautiful village with breath taking view and facilities for trekkers   we stop for day to acclimatize, hike around for sightseeing. From Manang we can go to 3 days side trip to beauty of nature amazing Tilicho Lake the Highest Lake in world.

From Manang we head towards the highlight of experience crossing Throng La pass, world height pass at 5,416m, touching the edge of the Tibetan Plateau to cross over to order side of mountain towards beautiful Mustang. Mustang is famous for high altitude arid landscape, where wind constantly blows everyday almost from 11AM till 3 PM. Mustang is city beyond the mighty mountains meaning less rainfall than other part of nation, yet Mustang means fertile land famous for apple, special lentils, potatoes and rice variety. In lower Mustang Thakali are indigenous habitants, famous for trading business and tasty food, the Thakali food is well famous in Nepal and around the world.

Brief outline of trek plan

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m) On arrival you will be greeted and transferred to Hotel at Kathmandu. Our team leader will brief more on trek and preparation for round Annapurna trek. Team leader will also brief on local area and neighborhood. Enjoy Kathmandu.  Afternoon/ Evening free time for independent activities. Over night at hotel

Day 02 Kathmandu:   Visits in Kathmandu: Swayambu Stupa (World Heritage Site), also known as The Monkey Temple, with its 2500 years history. Later  we visit historic world heritage site Kathmandu Durbar Square famous for Newa Culture and Architecture, Temples, ancient royal residence, Kasthamandap, The Living Goddess Kumari temple etc.

From Kathmandu we visit historic world heritage site Patan Durbar Square (WHS), also known as Lalitpur it means The City of Fine Art. The square is famous for good example of wood and stone carving temples, master piece wood carving window and doors, Taleju temple, The Royal Bath, Krishna Temple and many more. Overnight at Hotel

Day 03.Kathmandu to Besisahar760m Today we leave from Kathmandu Valley to Besisahar. After Breakfast early in the morning, we will travel to Besisahar.  The journey will take around 5 hour. (Overnight at hotel)

Day 04.BesiSahar to Dharapani 1860m After Breakfast, we take approximately 5 hours Jeep/Bus for Dharapani Passing through from some beautiful small villages, waterfall, beautiful surrounding and Marshyangdi River. (Over night at Trek Hotel)

Day 04.Dharapani to Chame 2670m Today we start our trekking. On the way we will see different small villages with Tibetan Culture, Buddhism pray flags, carving Tibetan Chants on the stone walls and “Chortens” at where trekkers and the local peoples pray and take rest. From near to Chame, we will see 2 beautiful Himalayas, Lamjung Himal 6983m, Mount Manaslu 8164m.and spectacular view of Mount Annapurna 2nd, 7939m. (Overnight at Trek Hotel)

 Day 05.Chame to Pisang 3200m From Chame to Pisang we slowly climb up with beautiful view of Lamjung Himal 6983 m, Annapurna 2nd 7939m, Pisang Peak 6091m.and with melody of Marshyangdi Rive, not to forget beautiful surrounding, mellow wind and beautiful hamlets on the way.  Inhabitants of Pisang mostly follow the Tibetan culture and Tibetan Buddhism. We will be walking around 5 hours . (Overnight at Trek Hotel)

Day 06 Pisang to Manang 3540m Today for better view, we follow the Upper Pisang trail; passing through an ancient Ghermu village with Tibetan Culture.  On the trail we will see Annapurna 2nd 7939m, Annapurna 3rd 7555m., Annapurna 4th 7525m, Tlicho Peak 7134m and famous Pisang Peak 6091m. It will take around 7 hours to Reach Day destination Manang.  (Overnight at Trek Hotel)

Day 07 Manang 3540m (Rest Day) Today is the day in Manang Village to acclimatize before moving to higher elevation towards Throng La.   Today we will hike and explore beautiful Manang. Aftre breakfast we will hike to Mount Gangapurna Base enjoy time on the bank of The Gangapurna Lake. After lunch we visit explore Manang. (Overnight at Trek Hotel)

Day 08.Manang to Yak Kharka 4020m On the way to Yak Kharka, we will come across small settlements with Yaks, mountain goats, mules.  The surrounding becomes drier with each step, less settlement, less green and browner surrounding with occasional view of with animals climb up. In around 4 hours we will reach Yak Kharka to enjoy and rest for coming days. Rest and relax. (Overnight at Trek Hotel)

Day 09 Yak Kharka to Throng -Phedi 4450m In around 4 hours rising through trail, crossing the river and again climbing through the trail, we reach Throng Phedi to rest and relax our tired body. Throng-Phedi is a small vicinity busy arranging food and drinks for tired trekkers. Some people also try to hike to the High Camp 4925m so that the next day is easier for them but we don’t recommend to High Camp because of the altitude with possibility of high altitude sickness. Day 10.Thorang Phedi 4450m – Throng La 5416m- then trek down to Muktinath 3760m Today is the day, the pinnacle of trek, surrounded by beauty of nature, the sign of relief and happiness, a great moment of life being at 5416 M. Today’s experience will be a lifetime unforgettable experience- crossing the memorable Throng La. The journey starts early in the morning from Throng Phedi to the Throng La (Pass). Each step is step you feel hard to walk because of the high-altitude but the outstanding panoramic Himalayan scenes are such attractive that you keep moving.  Each step each Chortens and prayer flags looks magnificent, panoramic views will be imprinted in your memory for forever.  After 8 hours of journey we will reach Holy Muktinath.  A scared place for Buddhist and Hindus, Muktinath is one of the most important places of pilgrimage. Day 11 Muktinath – Jomsom 2720m The easy trail, downhill each step brings more green and near to Jomsom. After couple of hours downhill we follow Kaligandaki River, famous river for fossils. At Jomsom we see Mt Nilgiri just in front of us. (Overnight at Trek Hotel)

Day 12 Jomsom—Pokhara 950m 18 minutes flight from Jomsom we will reach Lake City Pokhara. From airport we go to the hotel. Rest and relax to walk around Pokhara.  Afternoon we go for Boating, Gupteshor Cave and Davis Fall. (Overnight at Trek Hotel)

Day 13 Pokhara – Kathmandu (By Tourist Bus) Today after early Breakfast, we go to the Tourist Bus Park It takes around 7 hours to Kathmandu. The road follows by Trisuli River where you see many people rafting, green mountains and traditional villages. (Overnight at Trek Hotel)

Day 14 Rest Day Free Day in Kathmandu for Shopping or independent activities.

Day 15 Final Departure to International Airport Our team leader will escort you to drop to the Airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight back home.
