Dolpu- Rara

Dolpo Village in Mugu is a unique and wonderful place! It is located inside the Shey Phoksundo National Park, on the north of the village lies Chayanath-a beautiful glacial valley and on its south flows river Karnali. Known for Snow Leopard and its density in area. A far way beauty where very few local and international traveler had manged to reached.

Rara, the largest Lake in Nepal is in the high elevation towards the North West of Nepal. This trial is regarded as one of the best destinations for trekking in western Nepal. Rara is best described as Paradise.

Dolphu Village in Mugu is a unique and wonderful place! It is located inside the Shey Phoksundo National Park, on the north of the village lies Chayanath-a beautiful glacial valley and on its south flows river Karnali. The village is away from any effects of pollution and the landscape is scenic. The residents are all farmers who herd yaks, grow potatoes and local variety of oat. An ancient monastery serves as a public gathering place for the residents who belong to an ethic group called Karmarong.

Rara, the largest Lake in Nepal is in the high elevation towards the North West of Nepal. This trial is regarded as one of the best destinations for trekking in western Nepal.  This pristine Lake Rara, also Known as Mahendra Tal, which is surrounded by Rara National Park. Much of the park is at an altitude of about 3,000 meters and forested by conifers.  Considered one of the finest parks in the world, Rara National Park abounds in coniferous forest and is the ideal habitat for the musk deer, Himalayan black bear and other faunae. The Danfe (Impeyan Pheasant) the national bird of Nepal flies above while a variety of fish, the snow trout, inhabit the Rara Lake. Adding charm to the region is its generally open-hearted and friendly people.   The trail is very much “off the beaten path” offers glimpses of culture and scenery very different from those in the rest of the country. Only a few numbers trekkers got an opportunity to trek and experience its unique culture and dramatic landscape with some historically important places on the way. The park includes Trans- Himalayan valley with high ridges covered with forest and alpine pastures.
